OBJECTIVE

I'm looking to consult with ad agencies to help them create and produce exciting and memorable music for their clients. Whether it is to find and license existing pop music or produce original songs, underscores and sound design. I have the ability to conceive and deliver creative ideas and work alongside large creative groups. Passion for delivering memorable music for branding and scoring.

Music has always been a part of my life. My father, John Murtaugh is a composer and was a pioneer in advertising music. He actually composed & performed the music for the first commercial using a Moog synthesizer, Prestone Anti-Freeze in 1969. Music was in me ears from the moment I was born. I have extensive contacts and relationships with music publishers, major talent agencies, music production houses, major record companies, composers and musicians.

QUALIFICATIONS

I've worked on creative projects for major brands at major advertising agencies. Production that overlaps with many offices here in the U.S., as well as several European and Asian offices to allow them to take advantage of the power of contemporary American music.

Skills

Outstanding skills in both winning new business and for keeping business by developing advertising music that uniquely and creatively expresses the strategic idea behind a product's advertising. Creating and producing original underscores or songs. Or utilizing existing music.
I know how to structure a creative project, how to define the creative and musical goals, both to composers and to people on the film side. In fact, my greatest strength is working with those people who do not know anything about music (or just enough to hurt themselves!).
